Reveals Details for Oceania Regional Qualifiers

We are proud to announce the details for the Oceania open qualifiers today. As part of our continuing commitment to include more countries from around the APAC region, this year Oceania will receive two spots to the grand finals in Shanghai.

 


For both open and closed online components, eXTREMESLAND is partnering with the InstaFrag Oceania platform powered by FACEIT servers. The online qualifiers will be played on September 21st and 22nd, and will be free to enter. 


Saturday will see the open bracket played out, whereby the top 4 teams will go through to the closed qualifier on Sunday. The closed qualifier will feature 4 invited teams. The top 2 teams from the closed qualifier will then be flown to the LAN finals, where they will meet face another (yet to be announced) 2 invited teams. 


Teams will be contacted shortly regarding their invitation to the closed qualifier and will be further details will be announced once these teams are confirmed. 


Registrations are now open as of the 30th of August, and teams can register directly with InstaFrag. So please stay tuned for official updates. The registration period will run up until the September 19th. Brackets will be announced on September 20th with play set to start the day after. 

Format for Online Qualifiers
Saturday 14th September - Open Qualifiers
•    Open seeded bracket
•    Best of 1 Single Elimination
•    Round of 16 matches onward Best of Three (BO3) 
•    Top 4 teams qualify through to Sunday Closed Qualifier - Quarter-Finals


Sunday 15th September - Closed Qualifier - 8 team Quarter final
•    4 teams directly invited (Teams TBA) 
•    Single Elimination seeded bracket 
•    All matches Best of Three (BO3)
•    Top 2 teams proceed to LAN final - Grand final played for seeding


The LAN final for the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Asia Open OCE will take place on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at FBI Gaming Cafe, Sydney. The top 2 teams from the OCE LAN final will qualify to the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Asia Open finals in Shanghai from November 14th-17th. 
More details on the Oceanic LAN finals hosted at FBI Gaming Cafe, Sydney, will be released shortly, including the 2 invited teams.
