The eXTREMESLAND CS Asia Open 2025 is officially underway, with regional qualifiers across Asia-Pacific set to kick off in the coming weeks. The tournament will culminate in the Grand Finals in Shanghai from December 18 to 21, 2025, bringing together the most promising Counter-Strike talent from across Asia-Pacific. After months of regional qualifiers held throughout the region, the top 12 teams—including representatives from China, Mongolia, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East will converge in Shanghai for the Grand Finals, competing for a record prize pool of $150,000 USD.

This year's eXTREMESLAND key visual symbolizes challenging oneself amidst scorching volcanic lava and resiliently facing all trials. Since its inception, eXTREMESLAND has aimed to be the first step for Asian players on their journey to the global stage. Over the past decade, the tournament has nurtured rising stars—many of whom have gone on to become household names in professional FPS Esports and beyond.

“Our goal has always been to give talented players from the region a platform where they can be seen,” said Leon Zhang, Tournament Director of eXTREMESLAND. “Ten years in, we’re proud to have helped shape the path for countless competitors and coaches from Asia.”

In 2024, over 200 teams from across Asia took part in the eXTREMESLAND circuit. Building on that momentum, this year’s event not only increases the total prize pool to an all-time high, but also reinforces its commitment to elevating the competitive environment. The team behind eXTREMESLAND is actively working towards achieving VRS Tier 2 recognition, allowing participants to earn international ranking points for the first time. Marking the major step forward in the tournament’s growth and credibility.

Longtime partner ZOWIE also underscored the tournament’s impact on the region. “eXTREMESLAND has played a vital role in building the FPS Esports ecosystem in Asia-Pacific,” said Jeffrey Liang, Head of BenQ Asia Pacific. “It’s been a launchpad for aspiring professionals and a stage where regional pride and talent shine. We’re proud to continue supporting this mission.”
